Enterprise AI Application Development

Enterprise software, built at AI speed.

We were building enterprise software for the federal government long before AI. Now TESSA Forge, our AI build platform, applies that same discipline at AI speed. The result is secure, efficient, multi-tenant applications, with AI in the build and in the product itself.

Experience first, AI second

Our founder built the nationwide routing software for the CDC’s Strategic National Stockpile, which gets medical supplies out during terrorist attacks and natural disasters. It was one of the first federal applications to run on cloud computing, used by more than 1,500 users across over 200 public health agencies. It also earned a Certificate of Appreciation from the Director of the CDC for key help in the H1N1 flu response. He went on to found and sell a route optimization software company.

That’s the kind of system where security, uptime and the right answer for every user aren’t optional. We didn’t learn enterprise software from an AI. We taught the AI our standards.

Why “vibe coding” alone isn’t enough

Anyone can prompt an AI into a working demo. The trouble starts when real customers, real data and real money arrive:

One customer’s records show up in another customer’s account.

A feature is reported “done” that was never finished.

Nobody catches the mistake, because the AI that made it is the one being asked whether it’s right.

Vibe coding gets you a prototype. TESSA Forge gets you an enterprise application.

How TESSA Forge works

Different AI agents hold different jobs, like a disciplined engineering team.

1

File it with proof.

Every bug or feature is recorded with its evidence and a checkable “done when,” so nobody builds on a guess.

2

Plan before code.

A written plan names the files, the risks and the tests. It is approved before anything changes.

3

Build in parallel.

Dozens of AI agents work at a time. Each owns its own files, so none overwrites another.

4

Review independently.

A separate reviewer sees only the change and its goals, never the author’s reasoning. It catches more defects than any other part of the process.

5

Prove it’s done.

“Done” means live on the deployed software and checked, with the evidence attached.

TESSA Forge isn’t tied to one AI vendor. It runs on plain scripts and standard build checks, so we always use the best model for your project.

The best of today’s AI coding tools, in one platform

The market is full of strong AI development tools, and each does one part of the job well. We studied them, took the capabilities that matter for building large, complex applications, and combined them into a single platform: TESSA Forge. We use it in-house on every client project.

The capability Off-the-shelf examples How TESSA Forge uses it
Hand an agent a task and get working code back Autonomous coding agents: Devin, OpenAI Codex, Google Jules, GitHub Copilot coding agent, Factory Agents build from an approved plan, never from a loose prompt
Fast AI-assisted editing AI code editors: Cursor The speed comes with every decision recorded in the project
Many agents working at once Parallel agent runners: Conductor, vibe-kanban, cyrus Dozens of agents at a time, each owning its own files
Good planning and testing habits Workflow skill packs: superpowers The habits are enforced as checks that block bad work, not suggestions
Always-on agents with skills, memory and schedules Agent frameworks: OpenClaw Agents hand work to each other, remember past decisions and run scheduled checks that report their own findings

What none of them does on its own:

  • an independent reviewer that never sees the author’s reasoning;
  • security and customer-data checks on every change;
  • “done” meaning proven live.

That combination is TESSA Forge.

TESSA Forge isn’t a product we sell. It’s how we build, and what you get is the application it produces.

Built in, not bolted on

Multi-tenant.

Each customer sees only their own data, enforced in the database itself.

Secure.

Security advisories block an update the day they’re published, passwords and keys can’t be saved into the code, and billing, sign-in and imports always get a full review.

Efficient.

Every AI feature we build ships with a spending cap per action and stops itself when it isn’t making progress, so your AI bill stays predictable.

Tested for real.

Database code is tested against a real database, and those tests are proven able to fail before they count.

Maintainable.

Issues record what was decided and plans record why, so anyone can pick up the work without re-explaining it.

Usable.

Every screen and message is written for the least technical person who will use it.

It keeps working after launch

Most software starts to decay the day it ships. New security holes are found in the libraries it depends on, small changes break old features, and nobody notices until a customer does. TESSA Forge keeps watching your application for as long as we look after it:

Security scans on every change.

Every update is checked for known vulnerabilities in its dependencies, insecure code patterns and exposed passwords. When a new advisory is published, the scan blocks the next update until it’s fixed.

Tests on a schedule, not just at launch.

Automated tests run every night against a real database, so a problem shows up the next morning instead of weeks later.

Live monitoring.

Scheduled checks exercise the running application the way a user would, including a real conversation with its AI agent, and raise an alarm if something stalls.

A gate before production.

No change reaches your live system without passing a release checklist and your sign-off.

Documentation that stays true.

Automatic checks flag feature documentation that no longer matches the software.

Every finding becomes a recorded issue with its evidence, then gets planned, fixed and verified the same way as new work. Your application gets safer and more reliable the longer it runs, not less.

Agentic user interfaces: AI inside your application

The AI that builds your application can live inside it too. With an agentic user interface, people say what they want in plain English, and an AI agent uses the software’s real functions to do it. Complex software becomes usable on day one.

A chatbot talks about your software. An agent operates it, and asks before it changes anything.

The rules we design every agent around:

  • It acts, not just chats. It runs the real report, finds the real records and makes the real change.
  • Every data change waits for a click. The user sees exactly what will change, and how much, before a Confirm button runs it.
  • Every agent action also has a button. The full manual screens stay, so users can always check the result or do it by hand.
  • It never silently changes your data. It questions a bad input instead of quietly “fixing” it.
  • It’s built for the least technical user. If a truck driver can run it by asking, so can your team.

ROCCO: the first agentic user interface for complex vehicle routing

Vehicle routing is one of the hardest problems in business software: thousands of stops, trucks, collection days, disposal sites and drive times, all balanced at once. We built ROCCO, an AI Route Manager for municipal waste collection, to prove that even this can be run by conversation.

Operations managers import messy spreadsheets, build and balance routes, and compare what-if scenarios just by asking ROCCO. ROCCO drives the platform’s real routing engine.

It’s a multi-tenant software-as-a-service product with subscription billing, separate data for every customer, and full map, grid and report screens alongside the agent.

ROCCO’s next version shows every change he proposes as a Confirm card with its exact size, so nothing moves until the user says so.

It was built with TESSA Forge: planned, built in parallel, independently reviewed and verified live.

Straight answers

Is AI-built software really safe for enterprise use?

On its own, not reliably. That’s why TESSA Forge exists. AI writes the code, but every change follows a written plan and passes an independent review and automatic security checks. It’s proven on the live software before it counts as done.

How is this different from “vibe coding”?

Vibe coding is prompting until something works. We keep the speed and add the engineering: plans you can read, reviews you can audit, tests that can fail, and a record of every decision. The result is software you can hand to your customers and your auditors.

Can we buy or license TESSA Forge?

No. It’s the internal platform we build client projects with. What you get is the software, and you own all of its code.

Who owns the code?

You do: the code, the plans and the full decision history live in your repository. Your own team or another vendor can take it over at any time.

What happens to our data when AI is involved?

Passwords and keys stay out of the code and out of AI prompts. Customer data is kept separate for each client in the database, and the AI features we build send the AI model only the summarized data it needs.

How fast is it?

With dozens of AI agents building in parallel, work that used to take quarters often takes weeks. The exact timeline depends on scope, and that’s what the free consultation pins down.

What does it cost?

It depends on what the application needs to do and what it connects to. Bring us the problem and we’ll scope it on the call, free, in 30 minutes.
