- The content of any messages you send us, including queries typed into our AI-powered search and chatbot tools.
- Scheduling details when you book through our embedded Calendly tool.

- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, session duration.
- Usage data: pages you visit, search queries, clicks, scroll depth, time of visit.
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Cookies below).
Information from third parties
- Publicly posted Google review content shown on our Website through our review aggregation tool.
- Analytics data from Google Analytics 4.
- Advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta) where applicable, for measurement and audience matching.
How We Use Your Information

AI and Chatbot Data Handling
Our Website includes AI-powered tools, including an AI-powered site search and an interactive AI chatbot assistant (“AskMe Agent”). When you interact with these tools:
- What is collected: the text of your queries or messages, and session context such as the page you were on and recent messages in the same conversation.
- How it is processed: your inputs are sent to third-party AI service providers we contract with. The AskMe Agent chatbot is powered by LiveAvatar (api.liveavatar.com). Our AI site search is powered by Cerebras and/or Ollama. These providers generate the AI response under their own data-handling terms.
- What is retained: queries may be logged on our servers for up to 90 days for analytics, quality improvement, and abuse detection.
- What we do NOT do: we do not use your AI queries to train foundation AI models, and we do not sell your AI interactions to third parties.
- How to opt out: you can avoid our AI tools by not submitting queries. To request deletion of past AI interactions associated with you, email sales@tessa.tech.
- Limitations: AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete. Do not rely on them for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Essential functions — session management, form submission, and security. These are required for the Website to work.
- Analytics — measuring traffic and usage via Google Analytics 4.
- Performance — caching via WP Rocket and content delivery and security via Cloudflare.
- Marketing — retargeting and conversion tracking where applicable.

Analytics

Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law:
- Contact form submissions: 24 months from last interaction.
- AI site search and chatbot queries: 90 days.
- Analytics data: per our Google Analytics 4 retention settings (default 14 months).
- Marketing email lists: until you unsubscribe.
- Legal and accounting records: as required by applicable law (typically 7 years).

International Visitors
Our Website and services are intended for users in the United States. We operate from and host our Website in the United States, and any information you provide will be collected, processed, and stored in the U.S. We do not target, market to, or knowingly provide services to residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland. If you are accessing the Website from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.
Your Rights (California Residents)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you the following rights regarding your personal information:

You can opt out of this sharing at any time using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in our footer, or by emailing sales@tessa.tech.
Global Privacy Control. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out request for the sharing of personal information. If your browser sends a GPC signal when you visit our Website, we will treat it as an opt-out from sharing for that browser and device.
How to exercise your rights. Submit requests by emailing sales@tessa.tech with the subject line “California Privacy Request.” We will verify your identity using information you have previously provided to us (such as your email address and the contact details on file) before fulfilling access, deletion, or correction requests. We will respond within 45 days, with one possible 45-day extension if reasonably necessary, and will notify you of any extension.
Authorized agents. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will require written proof of the agent’s authorization and may require you to verify your own identity directly with us.
Children’s Privacy
Our Website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn we have collected information from a child, we will delete it promptly.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and secure hosting with WP Engine. No system is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us.
