Custom Ecommerce and SEO for Internationally Renowned Museum
Challenge:
Generate revenue from online artifact sales and improve the museum’s Google search rankings.
Solution:
TESSA created the museum’s custom eCommerce website to include robust capabilities, coupled with an aggressive, on-going search engine optimization (SEO) program.
Results:
At the beginning of the SEO campaign in 2013, the Gettysburg Museum of History had no website traffic. This increased dramatically to nearly 1,600 monthly visits six months after campaign launch and to over 7,800 monthly visits after 12 months. At this same point in time, TESSA’s efforts resulted in 88 keywords being ranked on the first page (top ten) of the Google search engine results. As of May 2017, page one Google search results have increased fourfold to 362 keywords and there are nearly 80,000 monthly visitors to the Museum’s website!
